UFC Hall of Famer, Urijah Faber, was involved in a rumour mill surrounding a possible return to the UFC octagon in recent months. A recent interview with Dan Hardy has proved this to be true.
Faber retired in December 2016, following a decision win over Brad Pickett at UFC on Fox 22 in Sacramento. The 'California Kid' had four failed title shots at the Bantamweight belt in the UFC, despite being the his former success at WEC. He has remained in the world of MMA through being the head coach of Team Alpha Male, training the likes of Cody Garbrandt and Sage Northcutt. Most recently, Urijah Faber competed in a grappling match vs Nicky Ryan at Polaris 10. He was outpointed by the 17 year old and lost.
There are no words on who Faber's opponent is set to be, but a prospective date for the comeback has been named as UFC on ESPN+ 13, July 13. This fight card takes place in Sacramento, California, Urijah's hometown.
