Greg Hardy calls himself the ''fight version of Jordan''

Greg Hardy, former NFL star, has had a troubled past. Most notably, Hardy was arrested for domestic violence in 2014. However, he appears to have reformed himself in the form of a mixed martial artist. UFC fans did not take kindly to Greg on the run up to his debut, and this was not helped when the UFC fighter lost via DQ for an illegal knee against Allen Crowder.

Greg Hardy needed a win in his bounce back fight and that is what he got. Dmitrii Smoliakov was outstruck and easily dispatched by a tenacious Hardy in RD 1, 2:15. The NFL All-Pro has set his aspirations high following his second fight in the UFC, and only his first victory. Hardy, in his post-fight press conference had this to say, ''I'm the fight sports athlete version of what (Michael) Jordan could be.'' This refers to how Michael Jordan dominated the NBA and had a spell in MLB during his storied career.

Dana White, on the other hand, was critical of Hardy's opponent:

''I'd like to see the 9 guys he's beat.'' The UFC president said about Dmitrii Smoliakov. Admittedly, White also went on to say that this is not the fault of Hardy as it is down to the matchmaking team of the UFC to do better. There is no doubt that the bout represented a dominant Greg Hardy, but what does the future hold for the Heavyweight? Derrick Lewis has called out Hardy recently, stating that he likes ''KO'ing wife beaters.''

Does he have the stock to fight such Heavyweight giants at this stage of his career?
